Hi stranger! It’s great to think of pre or post FOG as a determinant of era. Do you know if that’s still running in the field? I know the Sun software is still being sold. I found out SC had swapped the system I put in HQ which was a little sad; again that’s still out there as a product today and could have been working fine all these years. I’m sure there were reasons, but I do remember putting a lot of thought into finding things that would last a long time. Great to hear from you.
The things that impressed me were the ‘Censored’ screen shots – we know what’s there; we don’t need to see it again -and possibly most of all, the call to action at the end. Search Save the Children. In other words, go and find our more about this yourself. Knowing the cost of TV advertising, the temptation must have been to ask for money, but I think this is much stronger. I assume this is the first in a campaign, and of course at some point money must come into it, but I think this was both an emotional and thought provoking start.
Indeed. It’s a sad time when we look to restaurant owners for a moral compass “This feels like the moment in our democracy when people have to make uncomfortable actions and decisions to uphold their morals.”

Hi everyone. Just to introduce myself then. My first post! Pete Smith here; I worked for SC through most of the 1990s mainly based out of Mary Datchelor (or more specifically, the Kerfield). I started in IT working with Fundraising and Finance, but then moved on to the Finance Overseas Group. Since I left I’ve been running programmes for the likes of Hilton around the world, but spent nearly 10 years living in Dubai with my wife Sarah. If you know me and want to chat in ‘public’, just reply to this post. If for some reason you don’t want the rest of the Alumni to know (I can’t think why), PM me.
