Following seven years with Save the Children US in Sudan and Palestine, I worked with Save the Children UK in Vietnam from 1993 to 2000. I then worked four years regionally from Bangkok on child rights programming. The work in East Asia and the Pacific was part-funded by Save the Children Sweden. In 2004 I joined UNICEF in East Asia and the Pacific, West and Central Africa and finally India. I am now working as a child and adolescent protection consultant from my base in Tokyo, where I live with my wife and son.
