UNHCR mobilizes support for refugees in France and the Francophonie by raising awareness about forced displacement globally and the need for sustainable responses, in the spirit of the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR). UNHCR collaborates with French asylum authorities, provides recommendations to improve reception conditions and supports solutions through resettlement and complementary pathways, in line with the route-based approach. UNHCR works with authorities, NGOs, the private sector and refugees to promote the socioeconomic inclusion and meaningful participation of refugees in France.
