Hallo!

Welcome and thank you for joining SC UK Alumni! I cant tell you all how excited I am that this is happening at last and am very grateful to those of you who responded positively to joining and Beta testing the site.

We had a good conversation with Clare Conaghan (current HR Director a SCUK) to talk about getting the site recognised as the Alumni Associationsite….once we get the go ahead we can start reaching out to others in our networks to really make this vibrate network. Thank you too to those of you who attended the memorial/celebration for Andrew Timpson when this seed of an idea started to grow legs!

I am a bit of an imposter …still officially employed by SCUK but actually seconded via SC Aus to Deakin university in Melbourne …its a long story which I will tell you one day. I am also a bit of a luddite so writing a post of any kind is a bit new for me…but I am willing to learn.

Lastly just wanted to say a huge thankyou to Anna Acland, Isobel Latchford, Mike Aaronson and Pete Smith for all their hard work to bring this dream to reality.
